[Diabetes-talk] talking blood pressure monitors

I bought one from Wallgreen's that's fully accessible.

One should note, however, that a recent study (I may have saved it -- can't remember) showed that *most* home meters of whatever ilk -- and plenty of systems in doctors' offices, too -- read a bit high.

I bought mine from Independent Living Aids and it is fully accessible. They have two types. One fits on the wrist and the other has the regular cuff for the arm; I like that one best.

Dear NFB Diabetes list,
I am looking for a talking blood pressure monitor for myself and a friend of mine. I have seen many advertised on Maxiaids and Independent Living Aids, but it is hard to determine if the monitors are fully accessible. For example, they may announce the blood pressure and pulse but are unable to speak the results in memory. My friend doesn’t need to check his blood sugar, but maybe the Prodigy Duo would be the most accessible. Since high blood pressure is associated with diabetes, I thought that I might be able to get some information from this list. I apologize if my message is off topic.
Thank you.
Chanelle
