Oh I get it; I sit corrected.  Earphone audio with the newer Prodigy Voice isn't as good.  As your other message shows, though, the audio can be quite loud.  You must have had an impedance mismatch between the Prodigy Voice and earphones.

Bose Quiet Comfort earphones work great if you have the attenuator switch set for airline audio, i.e., with added resistance in the line.
