[Diabetes-talk] Need Tips for Lowering A1C

In my experience, one has to stir *all* the natural peanutbutter brands in
that the oil naturally floats to the top without artificial emulcifiers. My
mother says she remembers all peanutbutter having to be stirred in the
1920's so guess the emulcifiers were introduced during the 1930's and 1940's
because by the time I came into consciousness, I don't remember having to do
this except when I ground my own peanutbutter and/or bought the natural
stuff.
Incidentally, turning the jars upside down in the refrigerator helps with
this somewhat although the product isn't as easy to spread as when one first
buys it.

I like the organic Casco brand, but you do have to stir plenty to absorb the
oil. I also recently discovered bitter melon as a natural sugar blocker;
you may want to consider taking it in tablet form from the health food
stores as you might find the natural taste too bitter for human
consumption--it really does lower your blood sugar quickly and I find that I
am having to reduce my oral meds as I take more of the natural tablets.
