[Diabetes-talk] Proving Blindness

Thank you for the insight on blindness; no one knows until one walks in anothers' moccasins. Aging is a process of mellowing and taking a deep breath before sharing one's views. I am learning the hard way.

Have you ever just wanted to walk into a government office, pop those

suckers out, and hold them out for some idiot to inspect up close and

personal. I offered to do that for one of the security supervisors where I

work because he was giving me a hard time about letting my wife drive me

on-site. It's a full mile from the gate to my office, and no sidewalk, so

dropping me at the gate wasn't a great option. A fax from my GP was all

that I needed. Hopefully that will work for you as well.

Subject: Re: [Diabetes-talk] New Prodigy Voice INFO...

Hi Bern

I got a call yesterday from the same company wanting to know if I

wanted the Prodigy meter with Braille on it.

also has two more buttons than is on the machine I have now.

I shared that I replaced my machine this last year, where she wants to

see if it would go threw anyway.

the only thing I wouldn't do is go see an eye doctor so Medicare knows

I am blind.

My eyes are artificial where it would cost me to be told this story.

I shared that my doctor could fax I am a total.

She wasn't sure if Medicare would like that, we shall see what happens.
