Because the cells to which glucose adheres, i.e., the hemoglobin, are in the
plasma. WE don't care about the white blood cells or the platelets, at least
not insofar as diabetes care is concerned.

I guess I've never understood why we'd have meters if they only tested 
plasma?  After they're "Blood" glucose Monitors.  Right?  So why in the 
world would they only test "plasma?"
