If your fasting sugars are above 120, and you eat a bedtime snack, eat
snacks with more protein than carbs. The carbs are what will potentially
cause spikes and protein is what helps with stability. It's actually not
good to eat right before bed, but regardless of when you eat a night
snack, I would limit the carbs and focus more on protein.

My morning readings are around what you are saying, 140 higher or less
than. I also exercise walking an hour on the treadmill. Don't beat
yourself up to badly, the mornings are higher for many of us. Even if
you watch the snack you have before bedtime.
