Yes. The newer meter, marketed under BioSense's international brand as Solus
V2, is scheduled to be made available on the general market in January,
2013. No word whether it uses the same strips as the original Solo V2 but I
should think so.

Among the new meter's advertised improvements are:
.	Audibly recall the time during memory recall
.	A repeat function
.	Audible clock feature - press the front, right button when the meter
is off and it will recall the time and date
.	Increased audible output during set up process
.	Ability to sync the date and time with your computer to eliminate
the need to set the meter when the batteries die

My meter came today but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

Ah, then it is the older Solo V2 that is being sold on Amazon for $29.
