Greetings, everyone.

Each year, we feature at least one main speaker during the Diabetes Action
Network Seminar, held during the NFB national convention. This year's
seminar will be held during the afternoon of Wednesday, July 3. My question
is this: what sort of speaker would you like this year? Last year, we
featured James Kubel, inventor of the Pump-mate talking insulin pump remote
control. The year before (when we were also in Orlando), we featured a
dietitian who subscribes to a food plan regimen different from the usual
"lose tons of weight; eat low-fat foods, even if the carb count may be
moderate to high" mantra. The dietitian we featured was of the "Intuitive
Eating" school associated with the "Health at Every Size" movement which
emphasizes health no matter whether one is fat or thin and letting your body
and intellect govern what you eat. We've also featured diabetes educators
and doctors speaking on various aspects of diabetes care.

My question is this: what sort of diabetes speaker would you like this year?
The common-sense Intuitive Eating dietitian we had two years ago was
very-well received, not least because she brought samples. (grin) Would you
like me to try to bring her in to speak again or would you like something
else?

All comments welcome.
