Hey Mike:

Bern here!! sorry it took so long to get back.

Quite frankly, I really liked that dietician I really liked her
approach in that to her, our diabetes isn't a curse. Rather, she
gives invaluable instruction on how one can eat whatever they like or
one is used to; not having to give up their entire lives. but, to
learn the trick of monitoring/moderation. I really, really liked her
approach! Even that fat or thin didn't matter to her. After all, I
make jokes to people about how I was born a size twelve!! LOL!! Kind
of like exercise to me. If I feel like walking five miles because
it's nice out and I simply feel like it, so be it. If I have to do
this in the name of exercise/because it's good for me and I simply
ought to??? If I don't feel like it, I'm simply not going there and
I'm not letting exercise, doctors, or whatever else talk me out of it.
It is what it is. If I want to eat an extra large salad, it's
because I wanna eat it, and because I just like it, and for no other
reason. She thinks like you and I do. If anyone thinks I'm eating
cardboard because it might have more nutrients than a banana, or
something I just might want, they've got another thing comin'. I'm
paying for what I'm eating anyway!!

Have a great day gang!!

Bern
