I do that too.  Diabetic candy does the same kind of thing to me. so I don't 
touch it.  If I need sweets, I eat some good dark chocolate in small 
amounts.  Chocolate makes me break out if I eat too much.

I don't feel so alone, feeling as though I am the only one who does this.
also when I had a sugar free candy it just didn't have a taste.
