I would recommend the Prodidgy Voice which is totally accessible. the
Prodidgy AutoCode just tells you the reading but does not read the memory.
I test on the sides of my fingers so it doesn't mess with the part that you
read Braille with. I test twice a day so use one side of a finger in the
morning and the other side in the evening. The next day I go to the next
finger.
I don't use a Prodidgy now and don't remember what the strips were like when
I used the Prodidgy Autocode. I use the Solus V2 talking meter which also
reads the memory. You can feel a grrove groove at the end of this strip and
that is where the blood goes. So after pricking my finger I squeeze it then
lightly rub that part of the finger onto the top of the strip at the end
where the groove is.
Years ago when you had to use more blood you had to drip a drop onto the
strip but now you can touch the strip.

Subject: [Diabetes-talk] gestational diabetes have some questions about
atalking glucose meter
Hi folks.
I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Our second baby is due in
Feb.
I will need to test my blood sugar levels several times a day.
I take my class tomorrow morning.
It was suggested by the diabetes doctors that I use the Prodidgy talking
glucose meter.
What are others experiences with this meter? I am totally blind. I am
wondering if this is really what I should use, or if there is a different
meter.
I've played around with testing myself, and am trying to figure out how I
line the test strip up with the dab of blood. Any advice? I am not testing
using my fingertips as I read Braille. So, I need to use a point other then
my index fingers. I found a spot on my hand that seems to work.
Anybody have any advice?
