[Diabetes-talk] whole lemons

My doc has talked about implants over the eye eventually. It's weird
because I don't see light persay, but my eyes definitely respond to it.
If I pay attention, I can tell when lights are turned off or on, but I
definitely *feel* it. In sunlight, I can actually make out shadows and
see certain colors if they flash by. Obviously nothing that I can use my
*sight* for, smile.

I've also developed Nystagnus where my eyes will move side-to-side. It
mostly happens in bright light, but funny story. My three-year-old was
upset because she didn't think I was looking at her. I knew I was
looking directly at her, and wasn't quite sure why she was insisting I
wasn't. She was really insistent, then it occurred to me that she was
referring to the fact that my eyes were moving slightly at the time. I
asked her if they were, and she said yes, and that they were moving like
this, to which she took her hand and moved in side-to-side, LOL! It was
pretty funny.

I don't wear sunglasses when dealing with the baby because one, he would
just pull them off,and two, I want him to see my full facial
expressions. But there are times when I just have to wear them. I hate
to be the *stereotype,* but I'd rather wear them then get a migraine. I
always have super cute sunglasses though, grin. My current pair are
purple Jacki-O style with tiny rinestones on the sides, smile.

Hi, Bridgid.

Enough of the light sensitivity and you'll conclude, like many of us,
that those peepers just aren't worth the bother! Had my left eye removed
and my right one doesn't do nearly as well as once upon a time.

Interesting... Why the sugar? I do keep diet ginger-ale around at all
times as since my teens I have experienced nausea in the morning, and
the older I get, the more migraines I'm getting. Now that I'm blind, I
think it's the light perception causing a lot of sensitivity and sinus
problems. I have to wear sunglasses most the time even around the house.
And I can't troll thing up anymore with Baby, grin. Anyway, my point
being diet ginger-ale usually seems to help a bit. Is this just
psychological then?

It was the crackers, Bridgit. In the gingerale, what works is the
sugar--diet doesn't do it!
