The OH DAN always has a breakfast on the Saturday morning and we have a
guest that discusses some form of the disease. One year we had a Diabetic
Shoe Co. to talk about your feet, and this year we had a Nurse Practitioner
from Mont. Co. talk to us about Carbs. And f FAT.
We also has a Health Screening that taken Blood Pressures, Cholesterol and
A1C readings.

Omaha is hosting the Nebraska convention next year, and we are already
planning. A couple of years ago, I prepared a diabetes seminar that was
successful. I had my friend and head administrative nurse of the diabetes
clinic at the NE Med Center speak. Our affiliate would like another seminar,
and I'm hoping to expand upon this idea. What have others done, or what
ideas do others have? I appreciate any advice and suggestions.
Bridgit
