Hi Mike, glad to hear about this. I wondered what happened to this
invention.

Everett:
Mr. Kubel, developer of the Pump-mate, appeared at the 2012 DAN Seminar. I
can send you a link to his speech. And ... I can't resist ... did you not
read your August-September Braille Monitor? Mr. Kubel received one of our
Bolotin awards.
The device is fully accessible; it commands most Medtronics pumps wirelessly
and talks wirelessly to a bg meter that goes with many of the pumps.
The device is not on the market yet because Medtronics engineers stopped
cooperating with mr. Kubel to get the device into final shape. Mr. Kubel
wanted help from Medtronics to get the device through FDA's 510(k)
certification so that it could be marketed here in the U.S. but again,
Medtronics isn't interested, presumably because there aren't enough of us to
make it profitable for Medtronics to spend its money on the project.
We're looking for the proper pressure-point now.

Hi Mike,
Things like, is it accessible, seriously? How long's it been around, and
accessible, if so? Has the DAN had any contact or input in getting this
product to market? Any input on development, etc.?
And lastly, I suppose, is anyone here using this product? ;-)
Thanks,
Everett
