[Diabetes-talk] Has anyone ever had this happen?

No pain, at least that I've ever experienced. Then again, I have a
superhuman high tolerance for pain. When I had my first laser procedure
to cauterize hemorrhaging in my eye blood vessels, I didn't do the
numbing ointment, and my doctor was shocked. It was a slight burning,
but nothing major. And when I went into labor, I definitely felt my
contractions but had no pain at all associated with it. We ended up
doing an emergency C-section, and I was told how much pain an discomfort
I would be in, but nothing. Not even a little discomfort. So I've never
felt pain when I've had the hemorrhaging, and they actually been pretty
stable for quite some time now. I don't even need to see the doctor that
frequently now. In fact, at the last visit, he said I didn't need to see
him for another two years unless something changes. So anyway, I'm some
kind of freak. I also have a high tolerance for medication, so I rarely
take anything including Tylenol just because I have to over-dose for it
to do anything. And I'm not a big girl at 5'5" and we will just say not
overweight, smile.

Very interesting. Eye hemorrhages hurt like hell -- I know.

I'm not suppose to take aspirin due to the hemorrhaging in my eyes. They
don't do this much anymore, but I was told to not take aspirin just the
same.

We take the aspirin for the heart requested from the doctor. Have done
it for years.
