Hi.

 

Is there a list member in the 412 area code region that might be able to
help an older lady who is having a devilishly-difficult time using her
Prodigy Voice? Be advised that this lady is one of those who thinks "they"
should make the meter louder and when I ask if she has used an earphone, she
says no and it doesn't matter because "they" should make the meter louder
anyway. And she says she can't feel to get the strips in the meter nor feel
where to put the blood. I believe she does have neuropathy but her *real*
problem is her can't-do attitude and the fact that she wishes the VoiceMate
could be made forever.

 

Anyway, she got kind of angry with me this morning when she was complaining
how she was blind and meter manufacturers should understand this when I told
her I was probably blinder than she is and I could use the Voice.

 

I asked her if she had worked with a diabetes educator and I gather she has
but probably not enough.

 

What we need here is someone with the patience of Job and who can tolerate
her "ain't it awful" streak better than can I.
