You can buy Hope Warshaw's Complete Guide to Carb Counting, the American
Diabetes Association's Complete Guide to Diabetes, the Joslin Guide to
Diabetes, William Palonsky's Diabetes Burnout: What to Do When You Can't
Take It anymore and the "Diabetes for Dummies" series from the iBookstore.
Some of these are also available from Bookshare and Learning Ally and BARD
has tons of good diabetes resources including the book I'd recommend you
read first, Gretchen Becker's The First Year; Type 2 diabetes: a Guide for
the Newly-diagnosed. The American Diabetes Association's latest exchange
list (although it has a different name now) is available through the
iBookstore as is Gary Scheiner's Think Like a Pancreas, an earlier edition
of which is available from BARD.

Thank you for that information.

I decided to use my ring finger for testing. My sister did it for me since
this is my first time with a meter and I have one that isn't accessible.
She stuck the side of my finger and it did not hurt.

Can anyone suggest reading materialbthat I can access with my iPhone or PC?
I was given a print copy of foods with carb counts, etc. by the lady I met
when I visited the clinic last week. Going to try to scan it to see what I
can get from that but it would be great to find some resources online.

Anita
