[Diabetes-talk] I am very sad to let you know about the passing away of Mike Freeman, President of Diabetes Action Network

My husband checked his email late last night, and saw the original notice
and told me. I was shocked. Communicated with him via email and listserves
very recently, and was not aware of anything being critically wrong. It's a
lost we will all feel. He contributed in so many ways. And he was a strong
voice, not shy to share his opinion. His presence will be missed for a very
long time.

What a shock. I still can't get the lump out of my throat. I've talked with
him quite recently and had no idea anything else was going on. He sure knew
a lot. I enjoyed batting things around with him. Heck, I even enjoyed
fighting with him. <grin> He made such contributions here and on other lists
as well. My deep sympathies to his loved ones. We are all much richer for
what he gave. I feel like I should reset my synthesizer voice way down low
to say this, we'll miss you Mike. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
Hugs to all of you.
Veronica
