Subject: [Diabetes-talk] Update on my situation!
Hello everyone,
First of all, I want to thank everyone who answered my questions about
different medications.
I went to see my doctor yesterday. I told him how I felt better, the week I
was not taking the metformin. I asked him if I could take a lower dose, then
what I was taking.
He said that I would do you likely have the same stomach issues, and that it
was best to take me off the Met Forman together. He said that there was not
a medicine as good as metformin, daddy could put me on. So instead, he
increased myVictoza. I now can take it twice a day. I can take the normal
dose good I have always taken, in the morning. Which is, 1.8. Then at night,
I take 0.6. This morning, when I tested my blood sugar, it was 116. That's
how it used to be, if not a bit lower. So I am very happy with those
results. Although, I did not eat much yesterday. So that might make a
difference.
I go back to see my doctor in three months. We will see how I am doing then.
I hope this works out though. I can handle an injection twice a day. And it
isn't insulin, which makes me feel great! By the way, Candices medicine
causing you to feel less hungry? I have been taking it for so long, did I
don't remember there is a side effect. I do remember that when I first
started it a couple years ago, it made me very sick to my stomach for about
two weeks. I almost gave up on it.
Well, thank you for listening. I will keep you all posted. Again, thank you
for the help.
Terri
