What you will get is a voice prompt that says, "Your blood sample is not
enough, please test again."

Strips Used with Prodigy Voice Meter?

The Prodigy Diabetes Management software I downloaded and installed last
week works well with my ZoomText Fusion software and all its controls are
accessible to me on my Win 7 computer. I'll know more how it works after I
receive my Prodigy Voice in a couple of days and begin uploading test
results to it.

I'm not familiar with the low BG scores due to insufficient blood but I'm
inferring that's a problem with the Prodigy voice so thanks for the tip and
I'll be careful to ensure I get enough blood to the strip. I'm also testing
6 times a day so getting a log uploaded to software so it can produce the
logbooks Medicare requires to pay for more than the usual 3 strips a day
will save me a lot of time required by manual report generation.

The Prodigy software is *not* accessible and hasn't been updated for Windows
10 yet so your doctor's office may not be able to upload the results.
Besides, do you want all your low bg readings from insufficient blood to be
counted? I give my doc a *written* log and refuse to upload meter results.

Thanks for all who posted with info about the NFB Independence Market for
purchasing a Prodigy Voice meter. I decided to get it from American Diabetes
Wholesale at http://www.adwdiabetes.com/ who sells the Prodigy Voice system
which includes the meter, carrying case, 2 triple A batteries, a lancing
device, 10 lancets, 10 test strips, and control solution for $39.99. I also
ordered a USB cable for $6.99 from ADW which connects to the meter and
allows you to upload it to your computer using the Prodigy software.

Good morning Alan.

Once again, burn here. As for buying the meter, the prodigy voice is the
most accessible meter!! You can access the memory and set the time and date,
anything else you might want to do with the meter. The AutoCode, however, is
not fully accessible. As for purchasing the meter, the most inexpensive I
have found is the NFB's independence market. If you would like that
information, we can give it to you. It is at the national Center for the
blind, 200 E. Wells St. Baltimore, MD 21230. You can call 410 6 59 9314. The
menu will tell you which number to push for the independence market. I do
not remember offhand. But, the meters are $50 for purchase from the
independence market. At least, there, you will be assured that you will get
a prodigy voice meter instead of something they send you because they tell
you it's a talking meter. There talk is cheap. Just because they hear it
talk does not mean it's something you're going to want. Believe me. I've
seen too much of that experience
with a lot of people!!. They have no clue. There is dizzy as the day is
long. At least, here, at the Independence market we have experts regarding
accessible technology for our products. Just so you know. Burn.
