I think it's just "the lancing device". Gretchen Becker calls it the
"finger-pricker". I don't know if it has a formal name.

With the lancing device, you can adjust the amount it pricks your finger.
Can't think what this called at the moment. Usually a part of the device
turns or dials, switching to a deeper or less deep pricking amount. OMG,
what's this called? Driving me nuts.

I'll have to have a sightty look at the lancet device, apparently when I
poke myself I don't get enough blood. I only got the meter once today to say
not enough blood, but that was luck.
I have a habit, I notice, of moving my finger around the edge of the strip,
but I'll try the circle suggestion.
