With the one that I use, the counter clockwise movement causes a more
shallow depth of pricking.

You may also not have the lancing device set to its maximum depth or
next-to-maximum depth. The end of the lancing device can be turned to
several depth setting. I forget whether most counterclockwise is deepest or
shallowest.

I'll have to have a sightty look at the lancet device, apparently when I
poke myself I don't get enough blood. I only got the meter once today to say
not enough blood, but that was luck.
I have a habit, I notice, of moving my finger around the edge of the strip,
but I'll try the circle suggestion.
