[Diabetes-talk] meters

Bridgit has given you accurate information. The Prodigy Voice is the only
meter that is fully accessible, meaning that one can set the meter up and
review all readings using speech.
The Solus V2 can be set up without sight but although all readings are
retained in memory, only the last ten can be reviewed with speech.
In almost all cases, meter accuracy is more a matter of technique than it is
of generic meter accuracy. And remember that, in scientific terms, accuracy
may be defined in several different ways. Bottom line: the "best" bg meter
is the one you will use. But each of the two more-or-less accessible meters
has advantages and disadvantages and each meter has its quirks. The same can
be said for all bg meters, though.
Finally, remember that FDA only requires that all home meters be within
twenty percent of lab standard.
