Isn't that only an option for JAWS 16 and newer?

One thing to remember if you're using JAWS is that there is an OCR feature.
That can let you find and activate graphical controls provided that the
graphic contains enough text that you (and the OCR engine) can identify it.
If you could just figure out how to export your readings to a spreadsheet,
then you could edit out the nonsense and have a nice record. Of course,
making the SW accessible would be the best answer, but sometimes OCR can
provide a work-around.

Joyce,
The available Prodigy software can be found on this website:
http://www.prodigymeter.com/consumers/prodigy-glucometer-software/
The latest Windows version mentioned is for Windows 7 and it's the same
download for Windows Vista and Windows 7. The download link if you want to
try it on your Windows 8 system follows:
http://www.prodigymeter.com/englishVistaWindows7_2.4.exe
I use this version on my windows 7 computer but I use ZoomText and have some
remaining vision. I'm not sure how accessible the software is with other
screen readers like JAWS but I've heard it may have issues.
Good luck.

Is there software out there that you can download your testing results from
a Prodigy Voice meter that will work with Windows 8.1???
I have searched on the internet, but the only software for the Prodigy is
dated back to Windows XP or Vista.
Is there any other way of getting the results out of the Prodigy Voice
without entering each result one at a time?
Joyce
