I was reding up on the dexcom.the insturctions say califoarate every 12 hours once .so I don’t know what is he best ideal settings. Whats the point of caliberatin more then once if your goals is to get an idea of the graph as it relates ot the glucose controls. Sorry I a being a bit pesimestic on the outlook of he matter. But having had this disease for 12 years now, things haven ot change and are not going to change for ethe better. The only thin gi can control from getting worse and taking over my life. Thast the only thing I can do abouthe matter. Control the diseas and not lethe disease control my life.

I actually calibrate my Dexcom three times a day so that I can control when the thing starts annoying me about calibrating. Mine gets way off once in awhile, particularly after I've gone swimming. I'm beginning to think that the transmitter is more temperature sensitive than they claim.

Hello,
You will have to calibrate the system twice a day. Once in the morning, and once before bed. I still keep my glucose monitor around pretty close as the DexCom system sometimes is a quite as accurate as you would think. I also recommend if you are having any highs or lows to check with your glucose monitor, as the system like I said before could be a little bit off. I find that the DexCom is usually with in a few points weather that’s high or low. The system is great but you will still need your glucose monitor a minimum of twice daily, maybe even more.
