Dear NFB Diabetes Members,

We have not recorded the Blind Independence Diabetes Group calls in the past but I will check to see if we can do so in the future.

Thanks,

Jerry

Blind Diabetes Friends,

There is a new website especially for Blind Diabetics - the Blind Independence Diabetes Group or BID Group. The purpose of the BID Group is to enable blind diabetics to improve their diabetes health skills, gain independence, and make new friends!

The BID Group website provides free “living with diabetes and blindness” audio training materials from top professionals. It offers friendly nationwide peer support groups where blind diabetics come together by conference call to learn, laugh, and do life together. Check out the BID Group at <http://www.bid.northcoastmed.com> www.bid.northcoastmed.com.

The BID Group is sponsored by Medicare Bid Winner Advanced Diabetes Supply which provides the blind-friendly Prodigy Voice glucose meter to Medicare, private health plan, and non-insured customers. They sell Prodigy test strips for just $6.87 per box of 50 for people without insurance. If you want to order a Prodigy Voice meter and supplies call Bob at 760-579-7230 or for more information about the BID Group call Jerry at 980-253-0949.

Help us get the word out by telling others!

Here to Help,

Jerry Munden

If you wish to not receive these emails, please respond with no interest in enabling blind/vision impaired diabetics.

I’d like to be included for these calls as well. Also, I read the time ofthe call, but did not find the exact date of the call listed in the email message.

Thanks,

Eileen

Hi Jerry,

Might it be possible to remind the lists of the call earlier, instead of the day of? I'm on a few 'blind diabetic' lists and every one of them has me on Digest mode, and I'm definitely not the only one. But with Digest mode, you often don't get the grouped-together messages until the next day. As an example, I just read your message, and it's Saturday morning. No worries, not complaining.

Just asking. ;-)

Strive On!
