[Diabetes-Talk] DXCom G5 First Time User

Good day list:
After much fighting, I appear as if I will be getting my new Dexcom system after all.
Last time I wrote, I asked about the sensors, etc. However, I am writing to ask about the receiver for the decks calm G5 this time.
From what I'm told from Dexcom, you cannot use your smart device for your readings, due to insurance restrictions. So how would I be able to use my iPhone, plus the receiver? In other words, if I have to use my iPhone, would the results eventually be sent to the receiver, when it too, is in range?
