[Diabetes-Talk] Question for my son

Oh I sure wish Braille note takers had been around when I was in college.
Man I hated taking music dictation on the slate and stylus! I was also
thinking that he was needing a way to see what might be on white boards or
projecters. But I'm no help here, always having been total. Good luck and
good for him.

Gary,
Technology has made going to school and college so much simpler for the
blind. Google and most of the internet did not exist when I was in college,
and doing research for papers was tedious. I had to plan ahead for my
topics, find articles, have them photocopied and then read by several
readers. Then, I could access them for information!
I'm sure my son will figure out a solution. The most sensible one is for
him to agree to have a notetaker for the classes that he is having trouble
taking notes in. They are part of his accommodations, yet he has never
wanted to use one.
Jamie

If he has one of those digital recorders or better his smart device . That
way he would have digital recording and that way he could archive them if
need be for his future refreshers. I wish tha I had one o these smart
device back iin the days hat I was going ot school that way I could remember
some of he things I may have forgotten for x or y courses.

I would recommend that he tape-record his class notes and listen to them
later this work for me during college
