[Diabetes-Talk] Veronica, your music

Hi Veronica,

I am Walter Mitchell, a blind professional and musician. I have been playing
guitar for approximately 45 years. I went to your website and listened to a
couple of your recordings. I heard where you are primarily using piano only.
I may be able to help with this. I primarily play gospel music, but the
music that you compose is not out of line with my objectives. If you have
any interest, please contact me off list at the information listed in the
salutation below.

Living the dream, by raising expectations!

Much Love,
Walter Mitchell

Very well stated, Tom. You beat me to it. This is sure a complex 24/7 dance

And as always, don't make big changes in your eating and exercising plans
without first talking to your doctor that manages your diabetes medicines.
In the short term, making these changes can result in low blood sugar, and
lows can be every as bit as dangerous, even more dangerous, than higher
levels and elevated A1C's, in the long run. So, consult with your doctor and
tell him what you are considering changing so the doctor can anticipate how
your medicine needs may change.

Diabetes is all about the "dance" of food, exercise, and for many,
medication. All three play a big role in getting to a mostly stable, good
blood sugar level. If you increase or decrease any of these three without
considering the other two, you can get in trouble. I wish you the best.

Tom

Potato and breads are high in carbs. If looking to lower A1-C, should eat
these foods sparingly even if fitting into your carb count. Oatmeal has
carbs, and while it has a lot of benefits, lowering A1-C is not one of them.
Oatmeal is a healthy choice, but has carbs and will affect glucose levels.
If wanting to lower A1-C, eat a lot of protein and fresh veggies, and eat
bread and high carb foods sparingly. Also, exercise when you can and test
frequently. This will help to lower A1-C's.

Hi there,
Welcome to the list.
Do you know how many carbs you can have for each meal?
That helps.
So you don't have to cut out those wonderful things like potatoes and bread.
I know it is hard to get someone to read how many calories are in bread
things like that, I wish it was easier.
I to am a total.
Where if you can get a good loaf of bread this helps.
Then you still can have sandwiches.
I also do the multi grain breads.
This helps your tummy problems.
I know I have to take a pll for this as well.
Oat meal is another fun thing to eat and it does help lower the a one c.
I hope this helps.

>>> Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Baby news

>>> Dear friends,

>>> Just taking a moment to inform you that my son, Duncan True Pollpeter,
>>> arrived Tuesday morning! He's four weeks early, but doing very well.
>>> His lungs are still developing, but in just a couple of days, his
>>> oxygen requirements have gone down significantly, and he is taking to
>>> feedings very well. He will have to spend some time in the NICU before
>>> we bring him home, but hopefully not too long. Despite being early, he
>>> was 8 pounds, 4 ounces and 21-1/2 inches long, grin. I'm doing well
>>> and will leave hospital tomorrow. Big brother, Declan, says he loves
>>> the baby and calls Duncan, "His baby," smile. May be quiet on the list
>>> for a while, but wanted to let everyone know the good news.

>>> Bridgit
