Alyssa,

Hello. I'm also type 1. I've been type 1 for 31 years now. I lost my sight
when I was 22, but not from diabetes but a viral infection. I use to blog
about diabetes and blindness for a local newspaper, but when my first son
was born, I stopped to focus on him. I've been using an insulin pump for
about 12 years now. I'm a stay-at-home parent of a 5-year-old who is in
school now and an 8-month-old. I'm also getting my masters. Welcome to the
list.

I am new to the list and thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself.

I've had Type 1 Diabetes for almost fourteen years. I've been blind my whole
life, so the two are unrelated. Does anyone else on here have Type 1?
I enjoy writing and have a blog about my life with Type 1.

I'm looking forward to getting to know others on this list.
