The Dexcom rep. told me last week that the Dexcom 5 will be able to be
upgraded via a software upgrade and will have the same as the new 6 model.

Hi Veronica,
Thanks for sharing the new advances in the Dexcom G6!  I just wish Medicare
would cover blind consumers using Continuous Glucose Monitors.  Maybe in 6
months they will and I will be the first in line!

Hi everyone.
In case any of you hadn't heard, the Dexcom G6 should be out around June of
this year. Some of the cool changes include, an easier insertion process
with one button inserter. No calibration needed. None! No more interference
from Tylenol. An earlier urgent low warning, claims to warn you 20 minutes
earlier than the G5 so major lows can be prevented. More accurate overall.
Sensors can stay in longer. Sensors are also 30 per cent smaller. They say
it still works with the iPhone app. 
We can't place orders yet but we can get on a list for notification when
they're ready. Boy I sure signed up. Anyway, just thought I'd share.
