[Diabetes-Talk] Talking BP cuff

They use wrist cuffs at my rheumatologist’s office, and the readings are very similar to the arm cuffs used at my primary care’s office. They do use proper technique: seating me in a chair with my feet on the floor, and having me hole the wrist with the cuff just above my heart. I had heard for years that one shouldn’t use these wrist cuffs. I wonder if that’s changed, at least with certain ones.

I’m a nurse and you should definitely not use the wrist cuffs. They do not give accurate readings.
