You did not break it and it's not related to your shower. Please please
don't wrap it up. Then you will mess it up. If your tape is stuck down
thoroughly, you're fine. Really!

  Thanks everyone for your responses.  Mine came back within about an
hour and a half I think it was.  It just felt very frustrating that I
was told, yes you can get it wet, and then it was gone.  It would have
been helpful to have been told, what might happen.  I mean, nothing
like having a new device and thinking you've broken it somehow.  If
you wrap it up somehow and keep it dry, then does it not go through
this process of shutting down and coming back?  Thanks again everyone.
