Hello All,

I have received a reply on my question of when the app will be ready for. Use in the United States… well kind of a response.

On Twitter Abbott said that the app is finally approved by the FDA in the United States and is coming soon. I am not sure of how long that will be or if it will even be this year. It’s coming soon though!!!

Hi Jude,

In the UK at least, it's a stock issue. That said, third party chemists are
selling it to consumers even though the manufacturer isn't.

Over here prescription is cheaper though where available than buying it
directly given that our medicine is socialised.

Cheers,

Ed

Hello all,
I listened to a podcast yesterday called Accessibility Moving Forward and
on it there was a demonstration of someone using the Freestyle Libre. He
used the Envision AI app to read the screen of the meter. It worked quite
well. I am going to see if my doctor will give me a prescription for it. It
would be great to not have to prick my fingers six or more times a day. Has
anyone else tried using this system before?
