[Diabetes-Talk] 500 and 700 Medtronic series

Okay, I went specifically searching for the 751 and it would land me on descriptions of the 530G. I did find one reference to the Medtronic Minimed paradigm 751 so I can only conclude it must be part of that series, which would be why none of their reps were mentioning it to us. Typical Medtronic lousy service, I'd say. But either way, I would guess it's not long for this world and if they had a solution for us, I can't find anything new on the FDA pages. So it would have to be a modification, which would need clearance, right. Not going to be in our hands by January if this is correct. Hang in there, Omnipod.
Good luck everyone.
Veronica

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] 500 and 700 Medtronic series

Hello,
I apologize for any confusion I may have caused by referencing the Medtronic pump I will be getting, as “a 700 series.” To be more specific, I contacted my Medtronic rep and was told that I will be receiving a 751. It is my understanding that the models that fall under what I called 700 series differ from their 500 series counterparts only in the amount of insulin their reservoirs hold, making the 700 models larger because they hold a larger reservoir. It is my understanding that a 751 works like a 551; it just holds 3.0ml rather than the 1.6ml my current 500 series reservoirs will hold. Of course, I’ll keep you posted when I receive the 751, –in case I experience anything you all should know.
Amy
