Good to know, I contacted the company from clever choice and they were extremely helpful. I will keep all of you posted on which meter I decide and I thank all of you for your help.

I’d also ask the out right if the meter does in fact talk the results. Ask if there is someone who can assist you in enabling speech output on it. If they tell you the meter doesn’t talk then you know you’ll want to send it back for a refund.

Otherwise, isn’t there a way to post a question on Amazon – perhaps others who have had success with it might give you a pointer or two.

>>> Hello,
>>> I just got the pro-voice meter. Here’s the deal, I’m able to put the test strip in and it tells me what to do but once I put my finger on it it does not read anything. I’ve tried it multiple times with multiple settings on the Lansing device and if there was a reading on the meter it is not audibly announce it. For those of you who have one of these what do you do in that instance? Is there a type of set up required that I’m not aware? I find it interesting that it will talk to me when I put the test strip in and it gives me the instructions but that’s about it. I’m going to be really upset if that is all this meter does when it comes to announcing. Part of the reason why I bought it is because it was half the price of the prodigy but I’ve also seen some really good reviews on it through Amazon even from sighted people who use the audio feature. Their readings were announced so I question what I may be doing wrong.
