Hi Mary,
If I can get mine approved, then I will be using it dayly. I'm sure
Veronica will chime in again, as she uses one dayly. I believe with
the Dexcom 6, there are much fewer finger pricks. However, right now
Medicare is only covering the 5. Although I was told today, that they
are pushing for coverage of the 6, because Dexcom doesn't want to have
to produce 2 different ones so to speek. Don't know how accurate that
is, that came from the Diabetes dietician who workthe with my endo and
does a lot of work with insurances. But, that's what I know. Right
now, I'm stuck with the Prodigy autocode because my insurance claims
they don?'t cover the Prodigy Voice. And it really stinks! I can do a
reading and have the result read to me, but beyond that, there really
isn't any speech. And my sighted husband even fights with it for doing
the set-up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get approved for
the Dexcom and I can move to something a bit more user friendly. Doula
