I just did a quick search on Amazon, and for a 200 count, it's $31 for the Clever Choice test strips.

     I used the Clever Choice for a while, and it is just as accessible as the Prodigy Voice.  I did not find its readings as accurate though.  I had it as an upstairs meter, while the Prodigy Voice was on our main floor for testing the rest of the day.  I compared readings when I started noticing the difference in my readings compared to the Dexcom.  But, that is just my opinion.  Some people find it to be just as accurate, and others don't like the accuracy of the Prodigy Voice.  I'm just going by my Dexcom and the meter's readings.

Recently, on this list, someone said the Clever, I think it was, is also fully accessible. But, as far as I know, it's the Prodigy Voice, and specifically the Voice and not also the Autocode, that's the only fully accessible meter.

Hi,
I think everyone needs to realize that the Prodigy Voice is the only meter in the United States that a blind person can operate themselves with no sighted assistance.

If it were me, I’d call them back and tell them clearly that I am blind and need them to walk through doing the setup with me. I’d also ask the out right if the meter does in fact talk the results. Ask if there is someone who can assist you in enabling speech output on it. If they tell you the meter doesn’t talk then you know you’ll want to send it back for a refund.

Yes, I’ve been in contact with the manufacturer and they sent me a manual. I am confused how would someone activate the Settings within the battery compartment. Is there a special button?
