[Diabetes-Talk] insulin pens

Some of the smart pens I saw at the recent conference I attended dosed in
half-unit increments and they weren't called junior or anything special.
They are apparently often used by pump users who want a break from the pump.

It often depends on the type of Insulin you are using and how it is dosed.
For example, if you are taking it to make sure you are covered for a meal,
those units will differ from the long-acting ones that you might take for
example at bed time.

I have never used the insulin pens and would like to know what the smallest
dosage is that can be taken with one injection. If the amount differs
between insulin types please list the smallest long acting and smallest
short acting.

Currently I am using Humalog with a pump and am aware of the increment
selections with this device.
