[Diabetes-Talk] Came across a nice Dexcom G6 feature for the iPhone...

I do occasionally use this feature in the G6 when my hands are tired and
swiping around on the phone is just a lot of work. I also have enjoyed the
feature if I'm walking and want to know if I'm dropping while my hands are
full. Most of the time at home, I do as you do, Joy. But it's a nice option
to have.
And Gary, the G5 does not have this feature. As for the G7, slimmer and
cheaper aren't all I care about. Now, if it's more accurate, then I'll get
excited. But if one is on Medicare, given that there's not much coverage for
many for the G6, I wouldn't count on the G7 being covered in a year.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind if the sensor inserting device were
smaller. Packing for travel is a pain in the butt! <grin> However, it's easy
to use and sure gets the sensor in my body. So I'm a happy girl. <grin.>

Hi Paul,
I am using the Dexcom G6 and it is a new feature added a few months ago. I
have only used it a few times because I find it faster to just unlock my
phone and my result is instantly displayed because I just keep the App open.
Warmly, Joy

Hi all,

When Googleing for a related matter, I came across the following page:

https://www.dexcom.com/faq/what-are-latest-updates-g6-cgm-app

which says, that Siri can be asked what one's glucose level is, even from
the lock screen.

The Dexcom G6 is not yet available in Australia, but is this something else
I can look forward to, or does the hype exceed the reality?

Warm regards,

Paul in Australia
