Okay Ed, now I'm laughing. Ummm, you must be more agile than I am. Granted the G6 is easier but here are my clutsy questions:
First, I'm good peeling off the back, then just as I do with my pods, hoping I land it where I want on my arm.
Second, now the tape is stuck there, but you need to hold it in place while you dislodge that safety widget. How many hands here?Third, the infamous overlay. When I put it on my belly, I grab it by the edge and place one index finger on the inside of each edge so that I can feel through the hole and find the transmitter and sensor, thus lining it up properly. So, how many hands. Oh, description wanted. <laughing!>
Of course, in my case, I have the pods on the back of my arm, so that's pretty much that.
And I can't imagine what that nurse was thinking about pump and sensor talking to each other better. Most of us they don't talk to each other at all. If you have the Medtronic, the communication happens between transmitter and receiver on the pump. It doesn't communicate with the sensor in your belly. The delivery decision is made on the pump, which is most definitely outside. Wow! Sorry but this is just ignorance.

Hello,

I have been wearing it on my arms for the last few sensor changes. I have been having much better luck with readings and the sensor stays on very well on the arm.

I called Dexcom before moving the sensor to my arm and the tech told me that I can wear it on my arm but only if my Doctor recommends it as it isn’t permitted to be worn on the arm by the FDA without consulting a doctor first.
