I don't know. I'm type 1 and have no choice but to take insulin, grin. I'm
on a pump and bolus for carbs then have various amounts I receive throughout
the day. My understanding was that it had to be at least 3 diabetic
injections a day, whether insulin or a type 2 med that you inject.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] dex com

I was told this morning that if i wanted dex com I had to do three insulin a
day.
I am guessing that you folks are doing this at this time?
Even with the free style libre they say three times a day, then I can get
medicare to pay more of the insureance.
They have seven places that humana works with.
I was given two different kinds of insuin to check out the price of them.
Then at bed time I would take the long lasting one that would work all day
until bed time again.
I put a call in with the humana lady here in town, but I am sure i won't
hear from her.
The dumb broad never showed up when I put the rrequest in October.
I called a friend who worked here before and moved, called her manager and
said she is not communicating with us.
Sure don't know what her hang over is, where I thought I would start from
there.
The medical lady doesn't understand why I would want to switch to the dex
com from free style libre when this is working for me.
I shared all of the things I have read on the list.
She said she would work with me if I wanted to pay the cost of the insulin.
Just wanted to share.
