If not on a pump, type 1s take a long-acting insulin like Lantis and bolus
for carbs with a fast-acting insulin like Novolog or Humalog. For those of
us with pumps, we type 1s use only fast-acting that is delivered in various
amounts throughout the day, typically once an hour, but can be more or less
depending on the person, and bolus for carbs.

Yes this is what I am saying,
I thought you folks had to give yourself insulin more than once a day.
Now I need to find out what the cost is for all of that.
