Gary: I have used both the finger pokes and the DexCom G6. While the DexCom G6 is very convenient in that you can pair it with your iPhone and the sensor wire you insert in your abdomen provides for a glucose reading every 5 minutes which is transmitted to the apps on your iPhone, my experience was that I had too many errors in readings and false alarms. That definitely was not the experience of everyone on this list, however. One time, my DexCom read 42 when my actual reading was 130, and the Low Alarm kept going off. Calling DexCom tech support was of little help as they just wanted to send me a new sensor when we found that calibration would not work. This happened to me more than once.
There’s another unit out there that I don’t remember the name of but I don’t know how accessible it is for blind people.
I’ve gone back to the finger poke method, as much as I don’t like it, because it’s more accurate for me.
Best,
Michael

I gather from a brief look at the list that some folks like what is available and some don't. My understanding is that there are two competing devices. One seems to update more frequently and is more costly. The other updates once an hour or perhaps once every two hours but is less costly.
