[Diabetes-Talk] FreeStyle Libre questions

Not totally true. I know I had to provide one less than a year ago. You may not have to do it because of the equipment you are using, and I with the Libre could prove to them, but for those on Prodigy or similar meters if they are testing more than once a day a log is required.

Medicare no longer requires a log. They have already reassigned the staff who had the job of monitoring. That's what we were told by a Dexcom rep two years ago.

I just use Dexcom, and my endo is able to access my readings. I stopped keeping a log since switching to Dexcom a year ago. I know Medicare technically requires a log, which is stupid, but my pharmacy hasn't asked for one in years. Before Dexcom, I used Prodigy Voice and logged my readings, boluses and exercise in a MS Excel spreadsheet. I still use my Prodigy to calibrate Dexcom, but otherwise, don't use it.

Hello,
Ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
The reason I was asking about that particularr meter was for medicare requierments of a log.

Thanks.
