Hello everyone,


For probably about 6 months or so now, I have been using the Lebra
system. I absolutely love it. Although there are still times where I
have problems keeping the sensor on for the entire 14 days.But I love
how I can keep track of my blood sugars so much more easier now. It has
really been a game changer for me.


With all that said, I have never attempted to put my sensor on by
myself. I was always able to have help from an aid I had.

However, she is now no longer working for me. So I need to figure out
how to do this on my own. In about a week I will need to change out this
sensor. I haven't really a clue as to what to do.


So could someone who is totally blind, or who might have very limited
vision, who uses 1 of these systems, please give me some guidance?

What do I do once I unbox the sensor. I know it's a 2, or 3 step process
before even placing the sensor in place.

How do you get the sensor placed, 1-handed? How are you sure it's going
to stay in place?


I don't keep it on the back of the arm where it is recommended. Only,
because for me it just would not stay in place. Even when I used those
patches you can get, with the hole in the middle. I tend to put my
sensor on the back of my arm, closer to the inside of my arm. I hope
this makes sense?

I also tend to put it on my right arm, more often than not. Mainly,
because it seems to stay on this arm for the whole 2 weeks. I haven't
ever had the same luck with my left arm.


So how can I do this on my own?

I know if I need them to, someone at my diabetes doctor's office, will
help me. But I thought I would try to check with people here as well. I
figure I could get some first-hand experienced thoughts.


Any help is much appreciated.
