[Diabetes-Talk] Securing Sensor

Hi Doula,

Thought I'd mention these just in case you haven't heard about them.

The Patch Over-lay is a thin film with a sticky backing that has a hole in
the center just a tiny bit larger than the sensor. After the sensor and
transmitter
are in place the Patch Over-lay is placed over the sensor to keep it's edges
even more securely attached to you. I love these things.

They are free from Dexcom. Dexcom usually will send me ten each time I
request them by dialing 844.607.8398. I've also used the IV 3000 and placed
the
entire dressing over the sensor and transmitter. This did not affect the
transmitter communicating with my phone. When removing the sensor the IV

3000 took just a little bit more time to remove it from the transmitter.

After wiping off the transmitter with alcohol all was well and the
transmitter continued to work for the next go-round.

If it ain't one thing it's another. Hope this info is helpful.

Verlyn
