[Diabetes-Talk] when out

There are at least three different lengths of insulin pen needles. I think it might be 4, 6 and 8 milimeters but I wouldn't stake my life on those numbers. That's a discussion you'd have with your doctor when writing out the prescription.

As far as I know, there are not different needle lengths for pens, but I could be wrong. However, I never had a problem with the needle penetrating fabric when I used pens as long as it wasn't something like denim or a sweater material.

As for meters using blue tooth, I'm not aware of accessible ones other than Libre and Dexcom. However, if you use voiceover on your device, it would still read out loud. Either way, meters or smart devices have ear bud capability. You can plug ear buds into a meter so no one can hear the number. If you use a smart device with sight though, then no one would hear the reading. But if you access it with voiceover, it will be just like your meter and read out loud.

Oh thanks, I didn't know that.
What is the longest needle to get that would work threw clotheing.
I was always told they wouldn't.
Also is there a meter out there that can work blue tooth?
Then everyone doesn't know what your readings are, good or bad.
