I never had good luck with the Clever Choice and that was the first
meter I used.

I will also massage my arm in a downwards motion towards the fingers to get blood flowing to the fingertips before I do a stick. I personally think it is helpful when not testing to keep my hands moisturized with lotion. I think that when my skin is dry that can make test difficult also.

While some are using the Clever choice meter, I cannot find a company that sells the test strips. I am stuck using the Prodigy, and while some on the list will rave about it because of accessibility I think it sucks! I find it is difficult to use and the business about it using a small sample of blood is nonsense. I waste many a strip trying to get a sufficient sample when testing. Its just downright difficult and I question its level of accuracy as well. A friend recently told me that some write up rated it as being one of the worst, but unfortunately we?re stuck with it because its the only thing out there that talks. If I could find another talking meter I?d change over in a heart beat, but I and you need to test so for that reason only its better than nothing.

I don?t know how to spell it. But, so many others on this list have it these days. I, myself, I am using the Dexcom and love it!! However, I wish that some of these things were a little more problem Dash free than they are. I wish I could tell you that some of these technologies don?t come without any bugs. At any rate, keep us posted and let us know what you find. You will need a script from your doctor for these things but it is doable and probably a little more manageable than what meters are left out there. I certainly wish there was more. Looks pretty gloomy out here for blind diabetics, between the choices we have out here and fighting with the powers that be to get what little there is. It?s a terrible disgrace!! I?m so sorry.
