So are you saying that with your android phone you are able to read off the readings yourself without your sighted hubby? I have a BrailleNote Touch which is essentially an android tablet. I wonder if the app would work on that.

The met itself is called the Accucheck guide. And the app is just
accucheck. I'm an Android user, but I'd imagine this would work just
as well with an Iphone.
